The extra tall black boots are chemical resistant, have a steel toe, and are waterproof to protect you in the work place. The PVC/Nitrile material they are made from has an oil resistant outsole, making the entire boot resistant to acids, alkalis, minerals, animal fats, vegetable oils, blood, disinfectants, greases and other various chemicals.
