June is National Safety Month

National Safety Month - June 1-30, 2017

Observed annually in June, National Safety Month focuses on reducing the leading causes of injury and death in the workplace and at home. The National Safety Council, along with many other organizations across the country including CleanFreak.com, want to raise awareness of what it takes to ‘Keep Each Other Safe’.

A different safety topic is highlighted each week in June:

Week 1: Stand Up to Falls - Prevent slips, trips, and falls

Week 2: Recharge to Be in Charge - Fatigue and worker safety

Week 3: Prepare for Active Shooters - Workplace violence and prevention

Week 4: Don't Just Sit There - Office worker ergonomics

OSHA also sponsors Safe+Sound Week June 12-18 addressing hazards in the workplace.
