You can utilize the low speed (175 rpm) for scrubbing and stripping, where as the high speed (320 rpm) can be utilized for buffing and polishing. This 1.5 horsepower machine really excels at everything you throw at. It weighs a hefty 101 lbs. for more than adequate scrubbing and stripping pressure on normal tiled floors.
